Shmaltz - Hebrew Jewbelation Twelve12This almost made it to the 12 days of Christmas. One problem, yeah, that problem. Moving on, this sat in the fridge for about a month as I pondered how to take it on. So many twelves, just check the 2nd image on the left. Tonight I broke it open. Let’s celebrate 12 years of their beer. I was surprised (happily) that this was a dark beer. The head over took the glass and poured over. A slow grow of darker head was a nice change. This head did not want to go away, even when drinking it left itself on the sides as a reminder. The aroma of malts was astounding. Just having it a foot away you could smell it. The taste is what I loved. It goes from malt, to a bit bitter, to alcohol tasting, to fading out, and then wait for it…. it fades back in with roasted malts and coffee. This was a wonderful beer, and with it tipping the ABV at 12% (of course), one will do it for the night! Finally, congrats on 12 years Shmaltz, keep up the brewing!

Specs: 22oz bottle (what no 12 here!?!)
