John Labatt - Red Amber LagerThis is the second in the sampler pack for me to review. The beer poured up nicely with just a bit of head that faded quickly. The color was not so much red, but a brown. The aroma was roasted malts. The taste was behind a good amount of carbonation. The malts came through, but there was almost a sour taste to my choice today, and I don’t remember it in the other bottles of this I already had out of the sampler. Would I order one at a bar, not unless they were on a good sale ($1-2/bottle). I would say you are safe to skip this one as there really was not a wow factor at all.

Specs: 11.5oz bottle
