Clipper City - Winter StormOn the seventh day, this storm would beat the sh*t out of those swans. I opened this one poured it’s red goodness into the glass and had two thoughts. First, why do they make all the winter holiday beers dark? Second, I can’t believe I am going to drink another spiced up beer. The sweet malts aroma said that perhaps there would be no spices, and to wait for the taste. The taste set me back. It set me quite a bit back. This was a bitter beer, not a pale, perhaps an APA, even better… The label on the bottle stated this is a ‘Imperial ESB for the winter months’. I was happy once again. For those who aren’t into the spice for their winter beers, this one is good. The only downside is that this is a true extra special bitter.

Specs: 12oz bottle
7.5% ABV
