This brewery out of Chicago has many beers that go well with anything, but this is now on my seasonal favorite list. Cloudy with an amber color. Nutty aroma with some malty notes on the nose. The taste hits fast and strong like that winter storm you missed on the news this morning. What stood out most was the transition to the hops. The bitter come through gradually but fill out fast as soon as the malty goodness starts to fade. A clean finish that makes a great brew. I don’t know what’s with the ‘Mild Winter’ title, but I’d call it Awesome Winter.
