Tommy Knocker - Cocoa PorterSeeing this beer in the store made me grab it before Chris saw it. I love me some porters, add some cocoa powder, and we might have a winner! This beer poured up dark and black. I expected more from the beer as far as the head is concerned, it was light, large bubbles, and small amounts of them. The aroma was sweet and had a good amount of roasted malts. The initial taste told me to put this back as it was very watery. The sweetness kicks in early, it could be the honey they add per the label, and then it finishes out with a bit of bitter that begin tasting like coffee, but then it turns to a different bitter like baker’s chocolate. I would drink a few more if I had them or they were offered at a party, but not my first choice. On the fourth day, I got about four inches of snow to shovel.
