Great Divide - Hibernation AleI couldn’t drink this one quickly enough after trying it, but more of that coming up. This was delivered by my cousin Blair. This one came up nice and brown/red with a head built of small bubbles. The aroma off this beer had sweet malts and some flower scents to it. The taste is where this one shined. Thinking of an ‘English Style Old Ale’ as it said on the bottle, I did not think of what I tasted next. The roasted malts turned into a bitter hops flavor, then the aftertaste kicked in. It was full of another bitter; that of coffee and/or chocolate. It was subtle and a wonderful surprise. I will have to give this the ultimate rating. Good job Great Divide, I hope to see more of your beer cross the Mississippi to my state!
