Unibroue - Trois PistolesThe bottle brought me in, and when I saw that it was by Unibroue, a brewery that Chris had sampled, but I had not, I had to get this one. It poured up very nicely with a good amount of head. The aroma was sweet with hints of fruit. The darkness of the beer prepared me for some rich malts, but the fruit sweetness blocked that. The fruit taste reminds me of dark cherries or raisin taste. The 9% ABV really comes through on this one. For a cold day this made my cheeks get extra red. This is more of a sipping beer, and yes I didn’t have the right glass for it, I just don’t have the room for another bar set! The artwork having a winged horse over a church or old state building is interesting as much as it is confusing, perhaps they had a few before matching the beer with a label!

Specs: 25.4oz corked bottle
9% ABV
