This is another brown ale that Blair brought from Chi-town for me. This is from Avery which is a brewery in Colorado. Chris reviewed a couple of their brews in the past including a beer celebrating their 13th year. This particular beer poured up darken than what I would call brown. Sure some of the edges of the glass showed a bit of brown, but dark mostly. The head was made up of the smallest of bubbles and let off a decent aroma of malts. This is an easy drinking brown ale. Nothing too strong to make you do little sips. This is one that I would sit down at the bar and just drink and drink. There is just a bit of a bitter at the end, but the main taste is almost nutty and sweet. I would suggest this more than yesterday’s Dogfish Head Brown Ale.
