With previous Dogfish brews doing very well between Chris and myself, I had to open this one as soon as I could. Thank you goes out to Blair who drove this one into town for me. The beer poured up very nicely with just a bit of head. The aroma is sweet malts. The taste was a bit surprising. I suspected a coffee bitter taste by the background of the bottle’s label, but I wasn’t ready for the amount. It isn’t a bad thing, it tastes like cold sweetened coffee. The bottle states they use brown sugar, and that explains the sweetness I get. The after taste has a bit of bitter. Blair warned me that these were some good beers.
