A little history on this beer first, right from Mishawaka, “Seven Mules Kick-Ass Ale was named after the offensive line of the 1924 Notre Dame championship football team who were known as “The Seven Mules” blocking for the backfield known as “The Four Horsemen.”’ Now that you know that this beer will kick your ass if you are not careful as it is 10% ABV! I didn’t realize it when I picked it up, but this is a barley wine. I am not a fan it has a taste that I just don’t like. The aroma was sweet as it should be, the color was a darker cider color, and the head was small but stuck around for a bit. I can’t recommend this to anyone, although the beer means something, and has a kick-ass label and warning on the side about it’s kick-ass abilities.

Specs: 12oz bottle
10% ABV
