After pouring this I can honestly say that is the darkest head I have ever seen on a beer. When you think of a chocolate milk, a DARK chocolate milk that was stirred so much that bubbles formed, this is it! The aroma off of this is malty goodness. I couldn’t wait to take a drink. Perhaps I built this one up too much in my mind. The bitters were there from start to swallow, and I sat there thinking, what about the chocolate and oatmeal tastes? Then as I sat, the bitters cleared the way for the chocolate and oatmeal tastes. It was a nice surprise, but I was expecting more oatmeal during the actual drinking part. From the long, long story on the back, this is made with real bitter chocolates. Whether you are a chocolate or oatmeal person, give this one a try!
