Another brew from Dundee, and it poured with thick head and it took me awhile to setup the picture because of it! You know what, I don’t mind since this beer is awesome! Tag-lined as “Bold and Bitter” the color has a nice red tint, and an aroma of the bitters that hit the nose without being so overpowering. A surprise for me was a hint of caramel notes before the bitters grew to a smooth and comfortably strong level to finish off the taste. Overall, an extremely well balanced IPA that I could drink day in and out, at a price that’s hard to beat.

I received an email from Stephanie from Flying Dog Brewery about one of their employees, Mike Freeman, diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. His friends and family have setup an event for this upcoming weekend to help with his medical bills and such as he’s unable to work. If you’re in the Denver area, the event is Aug.23 at the old Flying Dog warehouse (24th and Blake),7P-2A, $20 at the door [all going to support Mike and his family], food, Flying Dog and other micros for free, and a number of bands.
