Here’s another great choice from out west and Sierra Nevada. Extremely dark brown, thick head, coffee aroma, all the precursors of a classic stout. What isn’t exactly classic is the crispness from the hops that Sierra uses - the deep and rich malts are quickly overcome with a strong bouquet of hops that clean up and limit the lingering taste of the dark flavors. A good choice for those enthusiasts of hop heavy, dark brews.
