I won’t forget to read the label before I taste Dogfish Head beers anymore. “Interwoven notes of maple, vanilla, & oak.” The aroma gives no hint to the complexity of this Immort Ale. The color is dark and cloudy which makes sense considering the label’s description. A bold, full-bodied taste with a dark natural sweetness, like maple, vanilla & oak? Yeah, like that. A very bold brew for those summer days when you’d like something dark and complex.
