Weyerbacher - BlackholeThis beer is packaged in a dark bottle, with a dark label, so the contents are hard to determine. To me this was like opening a can of food that doesn’t have a label. What came out, I was about to find out. It was a dark porter beer that had a thick head and had a slight coffee aroma to it. The taste was decent, and we found that if you let it sit on your palate the more nutty tasting it became. The after taste at first was hard to distinguish, but then it became more evident: coffee. That stayed in your mouth for a while before disappearing. A good grab off the single beer shelf at the Anderson’s.
