Shmaltz - Coney Island LagerI am reminded of Garbage Pail Kids playing cards with this creepy looking carnie on the front. A discount brew from the Anderson’s here in Toledo. We have done a Shmaltz beer before, don’t remember, do a search for He’Brew! That’s right, another chosen beer. Their 22 ounces of beer is still not enough to fill my Hall Of Foam mug from EasyStreet. There is not much of an aroma to this one, just a slight yeast/malt smell and the head quickly went to nothing after pouring. The taste is full, with what seems like the hops would build and then give you a bite at the end, but they don’t. They just sit there on your tongue with some malt flavors, which both leave a good after taste. I am surprised by this because Anderson’s had them at only $1.50 a bottle. I might have to run back to grab a case if they still have it. I suggest you do too, just don’t take any of mine!

Specs: 22oz bottle
5.5% ABV
