Fort Collins - Retro RedThe brew is bottle and wrapped in a nice retro label. The beer looked good poured, it is darker and has a good amount of head on the pour. The aroma is malty, and something else. I have experienced this ’something else’ before, and it wasn’t good. Now for the taste, oh yeah, now I remember that smell. That is spices and/or smoke added to the beer. A bit distracting from what I should be tasting: roasted malts and hops. I do get the malts, miss the hops, dislike the spice or smoke. Let’s not give up on this brewery, but lets just move this beer to the side and not talk about it again.
