North Coast Brewing - Brother TheloniousIt has been a long time since I’ve had a corked beer and Brother Thelonious looked like the choice for me. A Belgian style ale, the reddish color fits well with the rich full flavors of this brew. The smell is sweet and reminds me of the many German bocks that I like. The sweet malts are a little much, but really give a nice full flavor that ends with a little bite of hops that really don’t cleanse. My drink was closer to room temp, and I imagine it would be much better cool if not cold. So the bottle is back in the fridge while I type and I intend to finish it today.
