Sierra Neveda - BIGFOOTThis is the 25th anniversary, or expedition they call it of this brew. This has a nice red/brown pour and a decent head with little bubbles that stuck to the side of the glass. The aroma is sweet and smells like hops, my mouth waters already! The taste is very hoppy, this is true of any of the Sierra Nevada’s I have had. It leaves the mouth dry and a bit nasty tasting. I see a word on the label that sort of scares me: style. But it is in a barleywine style, so that is good as my experiences with barleywine have not been good. This is a good beer and I would be interested in trying it again with a side by side tasting of their pale ale to really taste the differences.
