The Flying Dog art almost makes you want to back off this one. Dog’s body with rattle snake tail, the neck of a snake, and the head is the most disturbing of all. Well the nice people manning this booth at the Glass City Beer Fest topped off my 3oz glass (about 4oz on this pour!). A nice yellow/amber color with fine bubbles is what topped off this glass. It’s smell was very hoppy, which is a good start for an IPA! The taste began sweet and then turned bitter. Snakes and dogs can surprise you and bite, and perhaps this is the reason for the name. You don’t expect that bite after tasting the sweet. This was a good all around beer. I will have to remember to pick this one up at the store next time I see it.
