Maumee Bay Brewing - Russian Imperial StoutAs Chris catches you up on beers from his New Orleans trip, I take us back to Friday night’s Glass City Beerfest. In particular, a local brewery to Toledo: Maumee Bay Brewing. A nicely poured beer (for 3oz) was pitch black and had no aroma that I could detect at the time. The taste was bitter like coffee and chocolate. I do admit this beer was a bit watery tasting compared to other Russian Imperial Stouts. If you are in Toledo, I suggest a stop by the brewery’s bar: Mutz.

Secps: 3oz draft pour
