Crescent City - Black ForestCrescent City Brewhouse is right on Decatur St. in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Black Forest was the darkest brew on tap, and was recommended to pair with my dinner – the pairings are indicated new to each menu item! The picture testifies to the dark color and creamy head on this German style brew. Aroma was very smoky and taste followed suit with rich malts that made an excellent combinations of caramels and chocolates. The robust flavor fades quickly but a hint lingers for a time. There really are no hops to taste, just malty goodness. Check out their site for great pictures of this great brewhouse.
