Saranac - Winter WassailThis winter brew from Saranac was a welcome recipe from my recent brews. The aroma is quite hoppy, and the heavy very creamy. This is spiced with “holiday spices” and gives it a nice mix of flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and citrus. The nutmeg is the primary flavor of each drink with the citrus adding the finishing touch to offset the spices and round out the overall taste. Without the taste at the end, the light taste would be overpowered and left this brew undrinkable. Saranac has once again found a nice blend of interesting flavors.
