Lindemans - Framboise LambicAt first you might say that you have had this and that isn’t a beer, or even just looking at it says that it is not a beer. Well let us take a look at the ingredients: Water, barley-malt, hops, yeast, and fresh raspberries. The fresh raspberries is what gives it the very dark color, that when in the glass gets very dark and only the edges and head give away the red color. The smell is of fresh raspberries. The taste is that of course of raspberries, and that means some tartness. I have had this at a bar that recommended it in a sniffer glass and serves it will a shot of vanilla Stoli. Mixing the vanilla Stoli with the beer smoothes out the taste and removes the tartness from the taste. I have had it only from the bottle, running about $10 for this bottle, and the only place I can find it on tap costs $9 a pint. A bit pricey as this bottle poured the two glasses you see in the picture at $5 a piece. I can only drink a couple of these because of price, and the tartness.
