A gorgeous red color, think head, a hoppy scent. Santa’s Private Reserve Ale from Rogue Brewing makes an excellent addition to our 12 Beers of Christmas. Holiday spices are apparent from the first sip and their flavors grow and leave a lingering taste that compliments the hops quite well. I never realized that Rogue puts pairing suggestions on all of their bottles - check out one of their bottles for a chicken, pig, cow, or fish indicating the meat choice with wich to pair that particular brew. Did I mention hoppy? I’m normally not a big fan of extremely hoppy brews, but if I find more like this, I might just change my mind. On the 11th day, 11oz glasses of Santa’s Brew, times two!
