This is one bad elf! I think he pissed in the bottle and that is why he is behind bars. I will not be picking this one up next season! It has the sweet smell of fruit (plum/cherry) to it, texture is good, the head was soapy looking, and it is that taste that turns me off. It has a slight bite, and then the taste hits you of what I can best describe as a sweet wine that is going bad. I do understand this is a barleywine-style ale, but that should not matter. I don’t suggest this beer, but the brewery has other Bad Elf brews that may be good. Day 3: Santa locks up this truly bad elf.
