Michigan Brewing Company - Nut Brown AleIt has everything to make a great nut brown ale, minus one thing. The color is spot on. The smell is nice and has just a bit of nut scent. The taste, well this is where things fall apart. It tasted good as I began to drink it, but the taste faded very quick. I was left wondering if I just drank slightly soapy water. The bitter that should be with any Ale was not really there. The nutty taste was slight, but not evident enough to include in a name. Perhaps I am prejuidce because of the Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale, or perhaps this just isn’t as good.
