Yes, it’s past Halloween but I couldn’t wait a full year to review this one from New Holland Brewery. Ichabod is a pumpkin ale brewed in New Holland, MI. Now I’ve had a couple pumpkin brews before, and this one is much more on the mild side. It’s golden color and light flavor would fit in well with many Oct/Nov gatherings or meals. There is no overpowering cinnamon or nutmeg flavor to overpower the smooth flavor of the pumpkin, instead they compliment it nicely. New Holland suggests pairing this with poultry and roots, or even your fall dessert. Cheers!
